the problem

Design an intuitive UI/UX design and a visual design system for the RusGuard Key mobile app for contactless control of access points (barriers, gates, office doors). It was necessary to turn complex technical functionality (NFC, BLE, QR codes, dynamic IDs) into a clear, fast, and visually clean tool with dark theme support and quick status reading.

the solution

We have developed a concise interface in a deep blue‑graphite color scheme based on the SF Pro Text font, incorporating a metaphor of physical access cards with three contrasting gradient colors for instant navigation between locations (“Office”, “Country House”, “Home”). For interaction, we designed a modular UI system: clear protocol switches (BLE / NFC / QR), a quick call via the “shake your smartphone” gesture, detailed map data screens with one‑click key copying, and a complete library of button and input field states.

results

The client received a modern, technologically advanced mobile app with a seamless UX, in which the time required to trigger and open a barrier or door was reduced to a couple of seconds, and a unified component guideline allowed the development team to implement new types of keys without redesigning the interface.
